India will host F1 in 2010........it's official !!!

Saturday

Finally,it's official that India will be hosting first ever Grand Prix in NCR in 2010.Though it's not mention in the official release that whether this will going to be a street race like Singapore ,which is hosting for first time in 2008 season or like a normal race.

Bernie Ecclestone has today confirmed that after much speculation a contract has been signed this week with JPSK Sports Private Ltd, a subsidiary of Jaiprakash Associates Limited, to stage the first ever Formula One Grand Prix in India, to be held in The National Capital Region of New Delhi in 2010.

Alonso to Ferrari, Massa to Toyota????

Monday

Though it's almost certain that Alonso will be in next side of Kimi in place of Massa but news of Massa joining Toyota is really a surprise.
According to Planet F1 , the Spaniard has agreed a £20 million a year deal to join Ferrari for 2008, leaving Felipe Massa out in the cold.
Massa, though, is already making plans for the future with the Daily Mail claiming that he 'opened preliminary negotiations with Toyota last weekend.'
I was expecting swapping of Alonso and Massa in next season but it will be interesting to see who will partner Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton wins Hungarian GP 2007

Sunday

Lewis Hamilton extended his title lead over the Spaniard to seven points after leading every single lap from pole position at the Hungaroring. While Raikkonen stood 2nd after overtaking Heidfeld in the first lap. Lewis as showed consistently in his debut season, he can cope with the pressure than any of his more experienced rivals may throw at him and duly took a fantastic, and more importantly crucial, victory.
Starting from 6th on the grid Alonso finishes fourth just behind Nick Heidfeld grabbing crucial 5 points.Massa grabs 13th place after starting from 14th position.Initaily it seems to be Massa is one pitstop strategy after taking his first pitstop on lap 35 and leaving the pits just ahead of Hamilton and Raikkonen reducing some amount of time between the race leaders.
In the final lap Raikkonen set the fastest lap of the race with a 1:20.047.
The final standings are:
1)Hamilton
2)Raikkonen
3)Hiedfeld
4)Alonso
5)Kubica
6) R.Schumacher
7)Rosberg
8)Kovalainen

Alonso stripped of pole position

Fernando Alonso has been stripped of his pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix after he pushed teammate Lewis Hamilton to the second post.
The Spanish driver delayed Hamilton in the pit lane, which meant he was too late for his final lap.The 22-year-old British driver was the fastest until the Spaniard pipped him by few seconds with his final lap of the session.
McLaren team boss Ron Dennis and manager Dave Ryan were called into a meeting with Grand Prix stewards and an inquiry was ordered.
But Hamilton, who leads Alonso by two championship points, refused to criticise his teammate.
In the end, however, it was decided that Alonso would be stripped of his pole position.

Here is the video of that incident.

French GP

In all a very good race at the Magny-cours circuit for the ferrari and a good strong comeback by raikkonen to the chequered flag with Massa. And as usual a determinant show by Hamilton for his 8th straight podium finish.
But the highlight of the show was Jenson Button who grabbed his first point for the season and for Honda also.
It is a miserable season for Button and Honda and i know they are just waiting to get over it.
Last year,Schumi and Massa grabbed 1-2 finish for ferrari and since this is the last race at Magny-Cours ,Ferrari have come up with 1-2 finish in last two races at this circuit.
