Thursday

See how to charge your iPod for for around 15-20 min using electrolytes and an onion. I always knew that an onion held fantastic amounts of untapped potential energy. Especially when it squirts death-ray juice in my eyes. This experiment is done by Household Hacker. Enjoy the video.

IPod, iPhone and now iCar - the rumored product of Apple and Volkswagen cooperation. The report -- available via Google translation -- claims that Volkswagen chief executive Martin Winterkorn recently flew to California where he sat down for a brainstorming session with Apple's Steve Jobs.

Check the quality of your cell phone

Wednesday

I got this in a forwarded mail, so I don't know the authenticity of this. But should be fun to check where your mobile was manufactured and how good it is.

  • Press *#06# (IMEI number)on your mobile phone.
  • It will give you a 15 digit number.
  • Note down that number.
  • Check the 7th and 8th number.
If the 7th and 8th digits are :
  • 02 or 20 - mean it was assembled in the Emirates which is very Bad quality.
  • 08 or 80 - means it was manufactured in Germany which is not bad.
  • 01 or 10 - mean it's manufactured in Finland which is Good.
  • 00 - means it was manufactured in original factory which is the best Mobile Quality.
  • 13 - means it was assembled in Azerbaijan which is very poor quality and potentially very dangerous to your health!!!
So go ahead and check yours.

Information Pot(i-pot not i-pod)

Saturday

In Japan young people have the iPod but the elderly have the i-Pot or “information pot”(not to be confused with i-pod) from the Zojirushi Corporation.

Aimed at the elderly who live alone, the i-Pot not only boils water (for tea or soup) but it also records the times when that elderly person pushes the button that dispenses the water. A wireless communication device at the bottom of the i-Pot sends a signal to a server and users of the service can see recent records of i-pot usage on a Web site.

New iPod Nano???

Could this be the new iPod Nano? According to several sources Apple has stopped sending shipments of old generation iPods, thus preparing for a shipment of new iPods? Plus Apple is notorious for September/October launches. Plus it’s just that time for a new iPod right? Could this be the new Nano? Maybe.
