Group chat in Gmail
Friday

For a long time I was wondering why GMail hasn't introduced Group chat feature but finally wait is over as Gmail added group chat feature which let you chat with many friends in a group.Though this type of feature was already embedded into Yahoo Messenger. But GTalk now has replaced YMessanger to some extent. The main reason for this trend is importing of all contacts of Orkut in GTalk and obviously good looks of GTalk interface. To get started, follow these steps:
1. Start a chat with a single person in your Contacts list.
2. Once you've started the chat, click Options at the bottom left of your chat window and select Group Chat.
3. In the field labeled 'Add a person to this chat,' enter the name of the contact(s) you want to add to your group chat.

No need to install Yahoo Messanger
Wednesday
Yahoo Inc., the world's second-largest supplier of instant-messaging, has begun offering a new version that works inside a Web browser rather than requiring users to download a separate piece of software.By dispensing with the need to install and run a separate IM program, Yahoo is looking to reach out to tens of millions of consumers around the world who use the Web in Internet cafes instead of on personal computers at work or at home.
Web-based IM is nothing new. Meebo.com grew popular among early technology adopters with a Web-based service that allows users to simultaneously sign on to AIM, Yahoo, Microsoft and Google IM programs. Rival Google Talk has been embedded inside Google's e-mail program, Gmail, for more than a year. But Yahoo brings the advantages of Web-based IM to a far larger market of tens of millions of active users.
One attraction of Yahoo's new Web-based IM service is an archive feature that allows a user to search back to find all previous conversations with any of their IM contacts. Another feature likely to impress heavy users is the ability to manage 10 or more simultaneous conversations in just one IM window.
Yahoo and New AOL have same looks
Friday
AOL introduced a new homepage some days back. When you look at it you realize, it has the same look as Yahoo had. Why??? Can't AOL guys create something new and a little different? AOL might have added some features to it but first impression is the last impression. I will or I think everyone will say, "AOL copied Yahoo..." You can have a look here and tell me the difference....

Yahoo Going Green
Monday
Yahoo has started a new drive - Green. What it does actually, it asks the user to create a plan he/she can execute on a daily basis to help in keeping the CO2 level low on the earth. The plans are very easy to perform but in long run will definitely help in keeping the planet green. Some of them are like -
- Turn your heater thermostat down 2 degrees in winter and up 2 degrees in the summer.
- Drive less aggressively -- don't accelerate and brake rapidly.
- Drive the speed limit.
- Keep the tires on your car adequately inflated. Check them monthly.
- Unplug electronics when you're not using them.
- Turn out the light when you leave the room. so on and so forth...
There are lot many action plans one can plan for himself and can help save the earth.
At last somebody is thinking about creating the awareness for making the earth Green. Thanks to Yahoo! latest effort. Why CO2?
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the main greenhouse gas behind global
warming. Using fossil fuels like oil, gas, and coal sends lots of CO2 into the atmosphere, and this traps heat.
